Washington—Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) today announced that the Select Committee has requested that Representative Barry Loudermilk of Georgia provide information for the committee's investigation into the violence of January 6th and its causes. The Select Committee has discovered evidence that Rep. Loudermilk may have information regarding a tour through parts of the U.S. Capitol complex on January 5, 2021

Washington, DC—Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) today announced that the Select Committee has subpoenaed Representatives Kevin McCarthy, Scott Perry, Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs, and Mo Brooks for deposition testimony as part of the committee's investigation into the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and its causes.

Bolton, MS & Wilson, WY—Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) today made the following statement on last night's decision in the DC District Court in the Republican National Committee's lawsuit against the Select Committee:

"This decision is an important ruling for democracy and the rule of law. The Court rejected the arguments that the Committee is improperly composed and that our subpoena was improperly issued. These arguments have been repeated again and again, but they continue to fail in the courts.

Bolton, MS & Wilson, WY—Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) today announced that the Select Committee has requested cooperation from three additional members of the House of Representatives to provide information for the committee's investigation into the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and its causes. The Select Committee is seeking information from Members of Congress who were either involved with or had knowledge of the events on and leading up to January 6th.
